Dubai green building rules soon
Dubai Municipality has announced it will develop a legal framework for green buildings soon, compatible with Dubai's local conditions and in conformity with international design and construction practices. The framework will be implemented in all new buildings across Dubai by January 1 next year.

Rera to use DED license system
Dubai's Real Estate Regulatory Authority (Rera) will be using the license and business registration system applied by the Dubai Department of Economic Development (DED) for issuing licenses related to real estate activities. According to Rera, business owners with old licenses can correct their status according to the new laws.

Rera to open property court
Dubai's Real Estate Regulatory Authority (Rera) will shortly create a property court with operations starting in September, Gulf News has reported. The new court will now offer a venue for investors, end-users, tenants, contractors and developers to have disputes heard in a much shorter time-frame.

Azizi launches Al Massa One at Al Furjan
Azizi Investments this week launches Almasa One, the second phase of its commercial offering Al Furjan in Dubai. The office tower has 162,452 sq ft of commercial space, in units of 1,250 sq ft and above. Azizi says it is targeting small and medium enterprises or branch locations for larger companies. It will include a 2,500 sq ft conference hall, parking and retail and restaurant facilities. In June, the company launched Almasa Two, claiming it sold out in one day.
